The CCNYC 2026 Lent Devotional is a prayer guide meant to draw you into deeper connection throughout your Lenten journey. Over the following pages, you’ll find scripted prayers and stories about prayer from folk across the Christ Church NYC community. Each entry is dated for the 2026 Lenten season, starting with Ash Wednesday (February 18) and ending with Easter Sunday (April 5). Some days include a prayer (in sans serif font) while others include a reflection (in the same font you’re reading right now). We invite you to read aloud the scripted prayers or read along with various authors’ reflections about prayer. On Ash Wednesday, Sundays, and throughout Holy Week, a scripture reading with reflection prompts is offered instead of a prayer or reflection. Note: All biblical texts are quoted from the New Revised Standard Version Updated Edition unless otherwise noted. Thanks to the thirty-six participants who wrote prayers and reflections, to all others who helped along the process of proof and printing, and to you for joining together on this Lenten path towards renewal and new life.
