9am Sunday Service
Worship at Christ Church is shaped by the splendor and grandeur of our sanctuary, which befits the splendor and grandeur of the God we worship through Jesus Christ. While ancient in appearance, our sanctuary is alive and vibrant with color and imagery. In our worship we strive to capture these qualities, being faithful to the ancient worship patterns of Christian peoples, relevant to living lives of purpose and meaning in a modern, fast-paced city like New York.
Join us at 9AM for an intimate service with Holy Communion celebrated weekly.

Vacation Bible School
Vacation Bible School at Christ Church!
Snowball Mountain Challenge invites kids to an exciting winter sports event where they become Challengers, gearing up for frosty games, snowy surprises, and hands-on lessons about resilience and faith. Over the 5 days, they will come to realize that with the strength God provides, they can share their gifts, be brave, give their all, pray, and hope. Your kids will be guided daily by the energetic Activities Director and the lovable Ollie the Arctic Seal puppet, who is reporting on the events. Challengers aren’t just playing games. Using their Challenge Companion (the Bible), they learn to draw strength from their faith through powerful stories, while connecting the learnings to Bible Stories and Lift Lessons (Key Learnings). With a unique winter theme and solid theology at its core, Snowball Mountain Challenge VBS delivers joy and meaning in equal measure, teaching kids that “I can do all things through him who strengthens me” (Philippians 4:13, NRSV).
The first half of our day will be spent as Challengers at Snowball Mountain Challenge. During our extended day, kids will bring a packed lunch and enjoy games, crafts, movies, and time outside with a team of vetted babysitters.

Blessing of the Animals
At Christ Church NYC, the Blessing of the Animals service unfolds in an atmosphere of sacred tradition and community embrace. Amidst the historic beauty of the church grounds, families and their beloved pets gather, weaving a colorful tapestry of companionship. From playful puppies to serene cats and majestic birds, each creature is welcomed with open arms and gentle hearts. Reverent prayers, resonating hymns, and the comforting presence of clergy members imbue the service with a sense of spiritual connection and reverence for all living beings. Through this timeless ritual, bonds of love and gratitude are nurtured, echoing the church's ethos of compassion and inclusivity.
Join Christ Church in hosting and welcoming our human, furry, feathered, and finned neighbors to Manhattan's 2024 Blessing of the Animals Interfaith Service! All are welcome: animals and any humans who care for them. Christian, Jewish, and Muslim clergy will lead us in blessing animals and in expressing our gratitude for all of God's Creatures, great and small. A special feature of this year's service is an opportunity to memorialize and to thank God for the gifts and companionship of any beloved animals who have passed away. Also participating: animals and staff from the ASPCA shelter, NYC Animal Care Centers (ACC), the Humane Society... and more!

The Bridge: Wednesday Nights
THE BRIDGE: Wednesdays at CCNYC 6:00-8:00pm
The Bridge is a new weeknight program at Christ Church NYC that sets space for lives, stories, and spirit to meet through contemplation, connection, and conversation. Following a light supper at 6:00pm, each week offers learning and growth through a centering moment of worship (from 6:45 to 7:15pm) and formative small group conversation (from 7:15 to 8:00pm). Visit christchurchnyc.online/thebridge.

Spring Faith Forum — Already-but-not-Yet: Theologies of Resurrection
Sundays, April 19 - May 24, at 10am on the Fourth Floor
What does it mean to be a resurrection people? Theologies of resurrection are not about easy-to-prove answers but rather dynamic ways of imagining and embodying Christ’s risen life. This spring faith forum explores six different ways in which Christians have understood resurrection throughout time. Come one or each week for a chance to learn about how the Easter story has ignited hope in different ways across time and how it may enliven the way we walk in our world today. Led by Liv Vermane and Rev. Tyler Heston Wolf.

Parish Choir
The Christ Church Parish Choir is a volunteer choir open to Christ Church members and friends. Parish Choir participants come from a wide variety of music backgrounds. Some can read music off the page, and some learn music better by listening and repeating. Some have years and years of formal training, and some have sung primarily around their home. Regardless of an individual's music background, Parish Choir is a welcoming space for anyone who is interested in singing, community, and God.

Moral Mondays
Christ Church is joining with the Interfaith Center of New York and other Partners to advocate for democracy. We will share the importance of speaking out for those who have been silenced and who fear the loss of their human rights. Our presence as a collective is a sign of our commitment to seek justice and peace for all humankind
We can walk together from Christ Church or meet at 5:15 pm at Columbus Circle, 59th Street and Central Park West. Gather at the Maine statue on the southwest corner of Central Park. Email Denise if you are interested in leading a song or speaking. Denise@christchurchnyc.org
Membership Class
Wherever you are on your spiritual journey in Christ, you are welcome at Christ Church. You do not have to join in order to participate in worship, many areas of serving, Connection Groups, or classes. Yet, for those who wish to join us in the mission to love God above all things and our neighbors as ourselves, membership is an excellent way to live out that mission. This mission requires partners and fellow travelers on the journey, and membership is way of deepening your commitment to this larger purpose.
Joining Sunday will be Sunday, May 17
