The Bridge Wednesday Nights
at CCNYC
What to Expect
The Bridge is a new weeknight program at Christ Church NYC that sets space for lives, stories, and spirit to meet.
Weaving elements from previous programs and services like A Faith Worth Having and Thursdays in Lent, this Wednesday night opportunity bridges our worship on Sundays with a chance to gather in both contemplative and centering liturgy and meaningful conversation in small groups. Following a light supper at 6:00pm ($15 suggested donation), each week offers learning and growth through a centering moment of worship (from 6:45 to 7:15pm) and formative small group conversation (from 7:15 to 8:00pm).
The Bridge launches with a Lenten series called The Path We Share. In our centering moments and small group curriculum, we will both learn about the New Testament book 1 Corinthians and how its conversation about ancient community life can help us think about the path we share as a church today. Registration is requested but not necessary for participation.
❋ A Shared Meal
Arrive between 6:00 and 6:45pm for a shared meal ($15 suggested donation) each week to connect over food and fellowship.
❋ Contemplation & Centering
Each week, in-between supper and small groups, we will engage in a brief moment of worship. With song, prayer, and a clergy-led reflection, we will be invited to deepen our time together before small group conversation.
❋ Small Group Connection
Connect with friends old and new from the CCNYC community. After registering, you will be added to a small group to meet with through a specific series (4-8 weeks) of The Bridge. By connecting each week through shared activity, safe and meaningful conversation, worship, and prayer, you will strengthen your sense of community while learning more about others, about God, and about yourself.
The Bridge (Lent 2026)
Wednesdays, February 25 - March 25
The Path We Share
For the inaugural series of The Bridge, we will journey different portions of Paul’s first letter to the Corinthians to learn how the New Testament does not offer charters for how churches are supposed to organize or behave but rather controversial and compelling conversations about what it means for the “testimony of Christ” (1:6) to be good news. By creating time for small group hands-on activity and meaningful dialogue, you will enter into consideration and conversation about what it means to gather as church today.
