Blooming Slowly: An interfaith Mindful Ikebana rest experience featuring Anjie Cho
Feb 22, 3:30-5pm online
Join us as we explore emerging from the season of rest (winter) into the season of blooming (spring) with Mindful Ikebana, the Japanese art of flower arrangement. Ikebana presenter Anjie Cho will invite you to rest, reconnect with your spirit, engage in a contemplative art experience, and explore how to invite mindfulness and peace into your everyday life.
This rest-and-reconnect experience includes:
A guided meditation to pause and connect with the qi (life force energy) of a flower and invite its wisdom into your heart
A demonstration as Anjie creates a spring ikebana arrangement interwoven with contemplative dharma art, Buddhist, and Taoist teachings.
Instructions on how to invite the beauty of flower arranging in a simple, accessible way than enriches your spiritual life
