New Beginnings Await…

As we approach Lent this year, we are surrounded by new beginnings. It is not only the beginning of a new year, but also the beginning of new pastoral leadership for our church. When we find ourselves on the cusp of a new journey or season, we occupy liminal space. It is not yet a new beginning, but neither is it truly an end.This is also the journey of Jesus the cross. This is the Lenten experience.

This space is precious. It allows us to take stock, and to appreciate all the ways our faith and experiences have shaped and guided us. It offers us time to acknowledge moments of pain and grief, alongside moments of joy and contemplation. This in turn prepares us for the next journey ahead. In order to fully embrace new beginnings, we must take stock of where we are- what spiritual seasons have you known recently?
