Season of Giving

Give to the Continued Work of Christ Church NYC

In our Season of Giving, we’re asking for:
An estimated annual contribution in support of the entire Christ Church enterprise, a year-end outreach offering with a goal of $100,000 for our outreach partners,
a winter clothing drive for the most vulnerable in our community.

ANNUAL CONTRIBUTION

We remain in an unprecedented time of social disruption, personal need, and spiritual confusion that continues to challenge us to grow in love for God, our neighbors and ourselves.

While slowly regrouping physically, we continue to discover important ways we are fortified as a faith community that call us to give generously in support of the church and city that we love.

As we approach the end of this extraordinary year, Christ Church is embarking on a Season of Giving to reach those in need and sustain our church community.

Through a weekly, monthly, or annual gift to Christ Church in 2022, you will:

  • Support the programs, outreach, and spiritual education of our faith community.

  • Support our creative staff and the technology that has developed robust virtual and in-person programming that connect us six days a week.

  • Support the excellent worship and music programs of Christ Church.

  • Support the entire staff in the relaunch of Christ Church 2.0, as together, we face the future in confident hope of God’s enduring power and presence.

END OF YEAR GIFT

As in previous years, our Season of Giving includes a year- end outreach offering. This year, our goal over the next four weeks is to raise $100,000 to be dispersed to the most vulnerable in our community through our incredible outreach partners. Your gift will...

  • Provide essential supplies, like food, diapers and wipes, to the babies of Nido de Esperanza.

  • Feed our hungry and homeless neighbors through an expanded Sharing Table that serves to-go meals and toiletries every Sunday.

  • Support neighborhood partners in Washington Heights with warm clothing, food, and access to health resources.

  • Create community and combat loneliness for the elderly at the Methodist Home for Nursing and Rehabilitation.

WINTER CLOTHING DRIVE

Winter has arrived and warm clothing items are essential during this time. Both the Park Avenue and Washington Heights congregations will be collecting items to keep New Yorkers warm this holiday season, including:

  • Pajamas and clothing for children from 0–2 years old who live with their mothers at the Bedford Hills Correctional Facility in Westchester, as well as our families at Nido de Esperanza

  • Hats, scarves, gloves, and socks for guests of Sharing Table and residents of homeless shelters in Washington Heights

  • Blankets for seniors who live in the Methodist Home

Consider bringing new items to either church on Sundays during the month of December. Donations will be collected at the connection table in the back of the sanctuary.
